Hi, I'm Cheryl Ann Barnes. I am a thought leader in community and experience design based in Seattle, and I have coordinated hundreds of events, from intimate neighborhood gatherings to large-scale experiences designed to bring people together with intention.

I work with organizations and groups that want to create meaningful connection through how people gather. What distinguishes my work is attention to the details most people overlook: pacing, environment, and the subtle human dynamics that shape how a gathering feels, transforming events from something people attend into something they remember and come back for.

In my recent keynotes, I focus on how connection is created. I bring clarity, insight, and purpose to the process of designing gatherings, and I invite organizations to rethink how people come together. I demonstrate how belonging can be intentionally designed, not left to chance.
